Students win BHSI Special Awards at the 63rd Georgia Science and Engineering Fair
Two Georgia students were winners of Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute supported awards at the 63rd Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF) held from March 21- April 2 at The Classic Center in downtown Athens, Ga.
This annual event is sponsored by University of Georgia Office of Academic Special Programs and provides students an opportunity to learn how to isolate and solve problems all within the framework of organized, logical thought and study in biological sciences and physical sciences. GSEF also gives the students the initial opportunity to exhibit research projects.
Angelina Choi of Hilsman Middle School in Athens, Ga., won the BHSI Junior Division Award, and Lauren Reagin of Rockdale Magnet School in Conyers, Ga., won the BHSI Senior Division Award for their respective projects focused on the biomedical and health sciences.
